January 17th and 18th 1998, TDI was proud to host the 5th annual It's A Woman's Thing, ladies only tournament. A record 91 women were in attendance for the 2 day event. Julie Nicholl was named tourney MVP. The rose link at the left will take you to the winners.

Ryz, Heather, Bill

          Over 50 players registered to participate and several dozen others were in attendence to celebrate the memory of Nick Harris (top TDI player, Spring `94). The gathering was conducted to benefit the Humane Society of Montgomery County, represented at the meet by Heather Bancroft. Miss Bancroft is the organization's Director of Humane Education and Public Relations. Mark Thompson, the moving force behind the event, announced that in excess of $1200 was raised and the Society has earmarked those proceeds to build a new kennel which will be dedicated in Nick's name.
          Ryz Obuchowicz partnered with Bill Amos took 1st place and Gary Stone together with our esteemed leader Stan Mires took 2nd in the single elimination Luck of the Draw. Michelle Poliquin (#5 Youth Player in the United States) was named MVP and Tim Kehoe took the top score for 9 darts with 276.
